This coffee is grown at 1,200 meters above sea level. The higher altitude and lower temperature means that the coffee fruit matures more slowly, creating a denser bean. The cooperative produces organic fertilizer that the farmers can access to help them maintain ecologically healthy farms.
Due to the volcanic soil, the higher altitude and the denser bean, truly exquisite taste notes of Costa Rica coffee come into light with a sweet yet juicy yellow plum, a fruity dried apricot and a velvet like marzipan flavour. Such an honour to taste this truly flavoursome coffee with an SCA score of 86.
